Apple is Providing Free Speaker Fixes for iPhone 12 and 12 Pro Models That Have Issues With Their Speakers
If you have an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro and are experiencing problems with the speakers, Apple may reimburse the cost of the repair. Devices manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021 that do not emit any sound during calls have been awarded a new service program. Apple Authorized Service Providers will repair any affected devices at no charge.
Although Apple clearly notes that it “may restrict or limit repair to the original country or region of purchase,” it appears that the repair program is available to anybody, anywhere, nevertheless. Two years after their first retail sale, the program supports iPhone 12 and 12 Pro devices. Apple has also decided that the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max devices will not be included in this program.
