Release of One UI 5.0 beta is expected in October, according to reports
When Android 13 is released later this year, it will bring with it a new version of Samsung’s One UI skin, version 5.0. Sources tell SamMobile that Samsung will release the beta version of Android 13.1 with One UI 5.0 in the third week of July.
Beginning with the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, smartphones that are eligible for the beta program will be able to download and test One UI 5.0 before its official release, which is rumored to occur in October.
Timewise, Samsung is ahead of the previous beta cycle this year. The beta version of One UI 4.0 debuted in September 2021 with the Galaxy S21 series, while the final release occurred in November. Assuming the rumored July arrival of One UI Beta 5.0, the Galaxy S22 series’ rumored October release date is plausible.
Samsung promised with the Galaxy S22 series that all of its flagships would receive 5 years of updates, and it appears that this promise includes regular updates. Samsung has made great strides in the previous few years with its S series and Z foldables, despite the fact that the OEM has never been recognized for pushing quick and frequent upgrades.
