Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 Receive One UI 6 Beta on Android 14
Samsung is taking a step forward in software development by rolling out the highly anticipated One UI 6 beta for its flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Galaxy Z Flip5. This exciting news comes after the beta program was initially made available for the S-series smartphones. Now, foldable phone users can also experience the latest features and improvements offered by One UI 6.
Enrolling in the beta program is a straightforward process. Simply open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy Z Fold5 or Z Flip5, and you will find a prominent banner advertising the beta program at the top. In case you don’t see it, some reports suggest that uninstalling and reinstalling the Samsung Members app might do the trick.
Once you tap on the banner, you will agree to the terms and conditions and receive the first beta update as an over-the-air download. Keep in mind that the update size for the Fold5 is around 2.7GB, and a similar size can be expected for the Flip5.
Following the update, the Galaxy Z Fold5 will be running on build F946BXXU1ZWJ2, while the Flip5 will have build F731U1UEU1ZWJ2. It’s worth noting that currently, the beta program for the Fold5 is available in the United States and India, with the possibility of the same restrictions applying to the Flip5.
This development showcases Samsung’s commitment to providing the latest software experiences to its users. By offering the One UI 6 beta based on Android 14 for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, Samsung is ensuring that its foldable phone users can enjoy the benefits of the latest advancements in software technology.
